Karen is our hostess and she has chosen petal pink, mint macaron and highland Heather with stripes for dessert. I had just a bite of dessert today using some striped wood dip in my quilt pattern. This is for a Co-worker who asked if I could make a card for her mother's birthday. She told me her mother likes books and quilting so I took the opportunity to cut out a quilt squares using my ScanNCut and some DP that I matched as well as I could to the colors. Then I colored this Power Poppy image which I think is great for anyone who loves to read.

Oh my, this is such a rustic delight of a card Jen!!! Love the wood panels incorporated into your quilt pattern and that delightful focal image (I absolutely have a friend for which this would be perfect!) Your subtle coloring is wonderful! No doubt your co-worker's mother will cherish this beautiful card!

You do such a great job of matching someone's interest to the elements on your card. Such a thoughtful part of what makes your artwork great.

so soft and sweet...it makes me think of my Mom. She wasn't a quilter or a reader but she was soft and sweet, wore glasses sometimes (actually her sight was better than her children's!) and I miss her very much.

Jenn, you are so creative! I adore how you took a couple of tidbits from the recipient's interests and created a card that is perfect for her! This card is perfection--a beautiful focal image behind a wonderful quilt pattern, complete with real stitching! Just wonderful!

I agree, this image is wonderful for the book lover (raising my hand!). I love the soft colors in the patterned paper you used and it goes perfectly with that image.
