This card is for this weeks teaparty...it's going to a sweet lady who loves geography and history so the challenge this week was to make a card that represents your home town, state, country, etc. I used ZIG clean color brush markers to colors the shells and added a touch of Wink of Stella to each one for some added shimmer.
I live in Wilmington, NC about a mile from the Intracoastal Waterway and a ten minute drive to the beach (Atlantic Ocean). I'll include a note in my greeting to tell Ruth all about Wilmington's rich Civil War history and the fact that Wilmington has the largest movie/production studios in the U.S. aside from Hollywood. Lots of movies and TV shows are filmed here. Join us for the teaparty and share a little about your hometown with Ruth.

How pretty, Jacqueline .... thank you!! The coloring on the shells is so soft and pretty and I'm sure the Wink of Stella shimmer is just beautiful! Mother will love your card and will greatly enjoy reading all about Wilmington's history. I've learned something new from your post ... I didn't realize that Wilmington was the home of the second largest movie production studios in the US.

Beautiful card! My parents were stationed in Wilmington, NC during WWII, and when I finally got to go there, I will never forget the beach, and all the history!

What a lovely wish, and a card that speaks peace and calm. The slightly stylised waves look great behind the super shell collection. I'm enjoying looking at this on a grey rainy morning and I am sure Ruth will love it too.

Fantastic sea shells to represent Wilmington Jacqueline. I really love the bright cheery colors you used. This is such a wonderful challenge to get to know our fellow SCS friends a little more. I have enjoyed reading a bit about everyone.

This card is a lovely representation of the beautiful shells that are found on the beach in Wilmington, Jacqueline. The shells are colored beautifully and the sentiment is fantastic!
