It's Tickle a Teapotter time and Susie is our guest hostess this week...you'll find her challenge and her catch-up with what's happening in Whykickamoocow HERE.
I've already mailed the card with my aspiring "best of birds" candidate, so I made a second card to use for my tickle. These cute chicks knew they didn't have a hope of getting anywhere in the "Best of Birds" category, but they're pretty tuneful when they get together, so they are entering the "Best of Music/Musicians" category, where they hope to at least get placed. And if not - they have done their best and that's what it's all about.
It took a bit of careful work to make sure all the chicks would end up on lines of the stave, but after I'd figured that out, I stamped them on the white card and embossed it. Then I used gelatos to add some colour to the staves. (OK, first I used dark grey, but I liked the colour better. Then I carefully stuck all my fussy-cut chicks to the grey one, so I had to stamp and cut them out all over again. At least I have something waiting to finish up into a birthday card at some stage!) I added my coloured and fussy-cut chicks, and lots of enamel accent dots. I used double-sided tape to create a border and sprinkled some gilding flakes over it, buffing them in well. Added a sentiment, and then stuck the whole thing to a white base.

Sweet card! I think your chicks have a real chance of bringing home the musical act prize! After all they balance on those staves so professionally! Maybe Flossie, Pearl, and Bea can join the act and be their dancers!

Everything about this is terrific Sabrina. This is sure a happy band of fussy cut chicks. You went to so much trouble to place them on the music sheet. Any Teapotter would be tickled by this. Thanks for adding this slice of fun to Whykickamoocow.

These little birds sure look to me like they’ve got their act together. I think they have a really great shot at Best Musical Act. They’re adorable! And I love how you’ve positioned them over the sheet music.
