...today. What a fun Mix today, Dini! I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a challenge as I wasn't feeling it in the beginning, but once I perused my stencil 'stock', an idea was born.
I found 'Silhouette Fred' from Ranger Dylusions and the 'Mini Arrows and Hearts' at Tuesday Morning eons ago. I am always looking for guy stuff. I wanted to make a card for &d. His heart is so very tender to others and it's been awhile since I watered his spirit.
And so that was the spark I needed to spread my Mix wings.
Taped the Fred stencil onto white c/s. I should have used a mixed media paper, but I was in too much of a hurry. Used the TH DO inks and stencil brushed to apply the color. Isolated the mini hearts as my stacked stencil layer.
Since this was a CAS card, I wanted to dry emboss the sentiment. A delightful one from the fab Rubber Moon stamp company. Here's where I realized the white c/s I used was way too lightweight and actually cut through the paper. But I wasn't going to start over so just taped the back.
I added the staples and the piece of Washi tape. Today covers up a purple ink stray!
Sometimes &d visits my gallery and if he spies this before the mailman delivers it to his 'for real' mailbox...I love you o' tender hearted son! You live this out every day and makes your mom's heart full.
Thanks so much Dina for stretching me with the MIX today. And everyone~ give Stacking Stencils a go...it's a blast.

Tres cool, the texture in the man and the row of hearts down him look wonderful. I must email you a photo I took of some utility box art which reminded me of one of your recent cards!

I had such fun with this challenge too--I ended up making four cards yesterday. I loved reading about your creative process and what a great save with the sentiment--it looks cool in the die cut window! Your son will love this!
