This is for Carla's WTUI Challenge Creative Containers. My DH is the fudge maker in our family; he likes to give some away at Christmas. My job is to come up with a different way to package it up each year. This Challenge inspired me to look around and see what I had; I found some small brown paper lunch sacks that I have had for years. Our kids thought they were too small for a school lunch, but they will be just right for a gift of fudge with a bag topper. I cut off part of the top of the bag and folded it down. I cut a piece of DSP in the right width and double the length, scored & folded in half. Die-cut the bottom edges with a large scallop. And then, I decorated the front half with a strip of DSP and a matching paper bow. Decorated the bottom with die-cut squares and a punched sentiment. Then I put the topper on the bag and die-cut an oval handle opening through the two layers of DSP and the folded bag.
For the picture, the bag is temporarily shut with a paper clip. After we put in the fudge, I will secure the top perhaps with a paper clip, ribbon, staples, etc.. whatever works best.
While shopping the other day, I inadvertently overheard a woman talking quite loudly on her cell phone. She heatedly said Christmas is not about the presents, dear. It is about the decorating!
I like to think the decorating is part of the gift. Thanks Carla for the fun challenge. Thanks for looking!

Homemade fudge! Yum, what a great treat, and these little sacks will be a great way of presenting it, with the home baking theme of the paper. The little red bow is cute, and I really like your oval opening.

Brown paper bags are always fun to decorate! The Christmas paper and bow is a fun way to decorate your sack!
Love fudge, tell your DH to save me a piece! :-)
