This class gives an overview of easy techniques, tips and tricks working with the dies.
I have combined two techniques from the class and I choose the motive âFestive Poinsettiaâ because of the coming Christmas Season.
The stamping (with Versamark and gold embossing powder), the colouring and the die cutting of the motive are the same in both cases.
I attached one die-cut motive with a thick double-sided adhesive tape. I integrated the other motive using the âInlaid Die Cuttingâ technique. This means that you create a negative space with your Poinsettia die and fill it with the other coloured die cut of the same motive.
Note: Save all the small grey parts left from the die cutting so that they can later be glued onto the card to cover the white spots.
To make it easier I glued everything on a white cardstock which is a little smaller than the grey cardstock.
I was inspired by a grey card in this class, which looked so beautiful and simple at the same time. And if there are not too many small die-cut parts in the motive, then it really is easy to make.
And yet another remark about the colouring: In the class âLet It Shineâ I learned to use a Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Marker Clear and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Marker to colour the motives instead of using a normal waterbrush pen filled with water. I pressed the distress inks on an acrylic block and took the ink with the clear glitter markers to colour the motive. I like this technique very much and I recommend trying it.
What I learned in this class was unexpected: To have patience. I could not wait to put everything together and didnât wait for everything to dry. I smeared some of the colours. I really learned my lesson.

Wunder scheon! Love the inking and use of inlaid die-cutting. The dimension you achieve may look subtle, but it is totally stunning! I am so glad that you enter your beautiful work in Altenew AECP assignment Gallery. Awesome details and design! Super work!
