I chose the center horizontal (ink smooshing-confetti-die cut). I wanted a celebration theme for the challenge's milestone, so chose a 2010 stamp from Rubber Romance that reads "When we have parties, we only serve the finest wine... Please bring some!"
I started by stamping the sentiment using Versamark ink onto Stampin' Up! (SU) watercolor paper. I then dusted it with detailed white embossing powder, and heat set. Then, to add color, I chose the "ink smooshing" method. I found a good tutorial on this at: http://lindsayamrhein.blogspot.com/2...-me-smile.html You will need a scrap piece of acetate, a water squirt bottle, and a silicon mat that is easy to wipe off between the color applications.
One thing I would warn you, is not to use the vibrant SU Real Red color. It is so intense, it actually colored my white heat embossed letters. This made my sentiment not as crisp as I would like. Even wiping the lettering with a paper towel after all the coloring didn't remove the pink tinge.
I then die cut the colorful saying out with a Sizzix Dotted Rectangle die. To emphasize the white letters, I then matted the watercolor sheet with a piece of SU Whisper White that I die cut with another dotted rectangle that was one size larger. Because the watercolor paper was warped, I used the super strong red double-sided tape to attach it to the white matting. This ensemble was then matted again to a piece of SU Dapper Denim cardstock. I wanted the dotted holes to show up more, so I attached the white matted panel using adhesive foam strips to raise it up and cause more shadowing. Finally, I glued the blue matted panel to the SU Cherry Cobbler card base.
This technique is super easy (but EXTREMELY messy, so have LOTS of paper towels handy). So I am rating its difficulty level as a '1' out of a possible '5'.
Congratulations on your 100th challenge RRCB!!!
