For Today's technique lover's challenge, I recycled a cola can then die cut a large snowflake from the piece I cut from it (directions on the TLC challenge page).
For my card base - I embossed the background with snowflakes after I applied some distress inks (spritzed with water).
For the ornament - 1st I adhered fun foam to the piece of aluminum, then I die cut it. I cut with the die on the front side of the can- this seems to push the edges down toward the foam and keeps the edges smoother.
I tied some twine to the snowflake, put a small glue dot in the center to keep it stable, then wrapped the twine over the top of the card and taped it down. Now the recipient can easily remove it and hang it on her tree.

Amazing! Thanks for the tip about the foam since I was concerned about sharp edges. Now I have to ask my DH to drink his last beer from the fridge so that I may have the can! lol!!!
