I am honored today to be guest designer for Loll's 11th day of her 12 tags of Christmas. I began by smooshing and splashing only part of my card in Adirondack inks leaving some white space. This is an unusual color combination I saw on Pinterest. While that dried I used Kitchen Sink Stamps to stamp the skates. These stamps are multi-step stamping and I was delighted to see this new release. I enhanced the shading a bit with pencils and did stamp the shadows a bit lighter than the recommended recipe. A stitching line was hand drawn on the skate around the eyelets and heel and pierced with a pergamano piercing tool. Hand stitched with a beading needle. Then set 16 mini eyelets and laced the skates. The brad was used for the hook that is usually on the top of a skate. I fussy cut the skate and used Cosmic Shimmer Silver watercolor paint for the blade.
Used Inkadinkado Flourish and heat embossed on the background. I had some Brutus Monroe Icicle powder and mistakenly thought it was white so the flourish doesn't show. Stamped the sentiment and heat embossed. Punched the pine sprigs from glitter paper and added some Tim Holtz holly die cuts from the same paper, arranged a wall decoration and hung the skates with thread. Nail heads were used in the center. I finished it off with just a bit of Frantage.
Thank you Loll for hosting this fun challenge for five years and inviting me to be a part of it! We've had so much fun with this.
Come join the fun for the final year of Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas. You have until November 23rd to enter your tags so there is still time to play.
Thanks for stopping by.

Incredible tag Nancy! So many beautiful elements. Those skates look real! Love how you've added the eyelets and laced them up! The background is amazing. So elegant and ethereal with the white, gray and all the shimmer. Love the small spray you've made to hand the skates from. Amazing design Nancy! Thanks so much for being a Guest Designer at the Twelve Tags of Christmas 2018! Love, Loll

I'm devastated that this is day 11 that means we only see one more tag!! Nancy this is exquisite. It must look even more spectacular in real life with all the tiny eyelets and stitching. Pure magic!

Nancy, I thought the skates were a photo cut out. OMG I can't believe the detail in their creation. Now I'm going to have to check out Kitchen Sink Stamps. This tag is one of the prettiest I've seen.
