Toni is our hostess for this week's WTUI challenge, which you will be able to find HERE. I used it as my starting point for this card, which I made for an ex work colleague currently undergoing her second set of chemo. I started by trimming part of the front of the card off, so that I could emboss the frame in the centre. Inside the card I stamped the row of brushes. On the front I stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment and the hand with the brush, then I embossed the frame. I masked off the outside and stamped Canvas in Antique Linen over the centre. Then I used the spatter from French Foliage to add some colour in. The palette is one of the very first stamps I bought as an adult - 25 years ago. I stamped it on thin watercolour paper and coloured the palette to look like wood. The brush handle has Glossy Accents, and the ferrule was done with a silver pen. I used assorted Liquid Pearls to create the paints.

I love this, took. So much, in fact, I had to break my rule and look at the gallery before I created my card, so I could leave this for you! Brilliant. And so perfect for your coworker. I love all the surprise elements...especially the hand and brush and the monochromatic paint brushes all in a row. At first it read stripes to me. I love, love this

Love all the textures and the creativity on your card, Sabrina! I've forgotten how much I love that Canvas Background stamp to add just the right amount of subtle texture...haven't used that stamp in ages. The paint on the palette looks so real and the line up of brushes on the inside of the card is the perfect complement for the quote!

Sabrina- I just LOVE your card. Such a cool panel to the right of your sentiment panel- compliments it. The paint palette is a great touch. A favorite!

Wonderful sentiment - so much truth in it and that pallete with the liquid pearls as paint pots is amazing looking. I like the controlled colors of your "spatters" yellow near the sunbeams smoky gray by the city scape, Autumn leaves around the tree etc.
