This is for the Sketch Challenge I am hosting this week. I used leaves from our backyard to stamp with bright gold metallic paint onto autumn colored cardstock.
Back Story:
While my daughter was visiting from Texas last month, she had a project in mind. She gathered leaves from our backyard, let them dry overnight and then used them to stamp with black fabric paint onto a square white pillow cover. When she returned home, she gathered leaves from her in-laws backyard and did the same thing to a second pillow cover. Now she has two throw pillows on her couch to represent the homes of his and her parents. Very creative idea.
She inspired me. While she was stamping fabric, I was stamping paper, of course. It worked out great for the sketch and for a Thanksgiving card.
I hope you have fun with the sketch. I look forward to seeing what you create!

I had to add this to my favorites. This is a perfect fall stunner with the leaves and rich warm colors. Cards like yours remind me of how beautifully creative we can be with minimal elements from nature.

Beautifully elegant stamping! I love the look of the gold leaves against the deeply coloured panels. Your photography really captures the reflectivity of the gold too ...not easy!
