Oh, what a fun color combination this week, Barbara! And your description goes with my surfing vibe. I asked my DH for a suitable surf term as a title. He thought 'just paddle back out' would convey our thoughts to a young friend who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Visual Image's Just Hit Play was perfect for a light hearted card. And Basic Grey's long retired 'Obscure' paper has all the colors of this weeks' challenge.
Life really, truly doesn't have a pause, rewind, or forward button. So we must just hit the play button...we'll paddle back out there, we'll find the way through.
I've been pondering the making for awhile now. Knowing what to say beyond I am thinking of you is never easy when it's cancer, suicide, or fill in the blank. For me, I can only pray.
Thanks for stopping by and just paddle back out...someone is waiting for you.
My dessert was the Visible Images the sentiment and the tangled cassette tape.

I am so sorry to hear your friend has cancer - hopefully he will beat it. Your card is so artistic, so creative, so very cool looking. I'm sure your words and beautiful art work will be appreciated.

I have sat here and dwelled on this card, and the reason you created it for your young friend. Life can be so difficult, and this card says you care deeply for him. The motion on this card is amazing. TFS

You never disappoint, Susan! This is outstanding. Lately we need so many cards for those having issues and this is an incredibly creative approach to it. Love the paper, the design and the thought that went into it.

the brain is fried.....7 cards I missed! I think you will score big points with your 'son in friendship.' And your writing always hits my heart with a big wham.

This card is wonderful, and will be perfect for your intended recipient. I love the way you used this week's colors, and especially love the sentiment panel with "Just hit the play button." We all have challenges in our lives, and this is such a good thought to remember!
