This is my first card in two days. I was starting to get grumpy. On Tuesday I worked 17 hours at the polls and then yesterday I had to come to Connecticut for a business meeting. So, here I am, settled into my room at Mohegan Sun, and I had to get a bit creative on the blanket challenge. I always pack all of my coloring books when I travel. I thought I would have to skip today's challenge, but I found this page that looked like a quilt or an afghan to me and I thought it would make a nice southwestern style blanket paired with this strip of cactuses. It takes a long time to make a card when you have to hand cut each piece with scissors. LOL! I finished off with a hand-lettered sentiment and some Enamel Accents. Popped up the panel on foam squares and whomever I send this to will never know I made it in a hotel room

Wow, awesome job on creating this out of what you had with you! I usually don't take my crafty stuff with me because I wouldn't be able to decide on just a few things...I would need a separate suitcase! lol!!

Itching to design, I bet you found this creative card making session relaxing and fun, which is the feeling this I get when I look at all the beautiful colors and patterns you chose. Again, I am very envious of your handwriting!

Super southwestern colours, and yes, it does look a little like those crochet afghans. In fact I've seen some amazing crochet and knit blankets. Wet and rainy here, so the warm colours are a real treat. I am always impressed at how you manage to craft while away - and not just make a card but get it uploaded too!
