I used old book pages, sheet music, etc to make a collage type bg. I added some white paint dots for snow. I also distressed by sponging some vintage photo ink on the paper and did some sewing and paper piercing to add interest. Come check out this week's MIX challenge!

What a wonderful Christmas card, Polly, using these images and the fabulous text bg you have done! I really like the paper piercing on this, great idea!

I really like the layered look of your background, Polly. The little stitching detail is super in that pine-needle green. And that vintage Santa is super-cute.

Both of your cards look terrific Polly, but I'm especially enamored with this Santa ornament as he looks very much like a couple of antique glass Christmas ornaments I have that were my great-grandmother's. Love those sparkly snowflakes as well against the vintage looking pages of your background. Fun challenge!

Oh, wow, Polly! What a fabulous vintage card, and I love all the layers with the great texture from the real hand-stitching and the dies. Love that sweet Santa ornament hanging from the pine bough! Beautifully done and a great challenge, sweet friend! I love it! Hugs and love! xoxo
