This month's new Fan Club/Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge is an easy one - but a bit of a challenge. I used another never-been-used stamp (blushing at the many stamps I have that I've never inked up), but I did enjoy coloring it. I have to say that coloring mice is a challenge for me. However, after "living" with them while I was coloring, I started thinking about what they might be saying. (My DH says I make everything "talk." and he's right!) I imagined that momma mouse was telling two of those mice to share, while one of them is looking at that other big ole berry. Of course, the one on the left is struggling to reach the one above, and I know he'll get it. Don't you think that far-right mouse has had WAY too many berries? Chubby little fella! LOL!
I kept my layout simple and made a square card, used my Mini MISTI to add the sentiment, and then pierced around the border. I added the focal image to a pretty tartan/plaid that I found in my stash, and that was it. I thought about adding some embellishment and decided to just keep it simple - makes it easier! Hope you'll join us this month for the Christmas challenge. It's sure been fun for me.
Thank you so much for taking a closer look at my card! Hope you like it, and I hope you have a great rest of the week. Can you believe it's November already? Christmas is coming! Sending hugs and love to all! xoxo

This is gorgeous! I love the bright red berries! The mice are cute and so is your story! Yes, that mouse on the end does look like he might need to watch his sugar intake this holiday season! Darling!

Oh, sweet Cheryl, what a marvelous Christmas card you made! I love those mice, and yes, the one on the right appears to have had more berries! LOL! The one on the left is wearing a beautiful scarf, and I agree; he'll eventually enjoy that berry! You did a great job of coloring them and the beautiful holly and berries. The background plaid paper is so beautiful also. Great piece of art, my special sis! Hugs!!!

Love those cute little meeses to pieces. Just adorable. Beautifully coloured in typical Cheryl style with do much attention paid to selecting just the right shades - right down to the highlights on the berries. I think the meeses are looking very guilty. Yes as you said one berry too much - he he he.

This is the most adorable card Cheryl ... those little mice are too sweet, as is your beautiful holly. I so admire your colouring skills. Love the dp - just love the whole card.

Your colouring is fantastic Cheryl! I love the PB mice and this image is so darn cute! Your hand done piercing is fantastic - I first thought you had cheated and used a die -ha, ha! I love the square format and wonder why I seldom use it. Your card is beautiful!
