Jan's Teapot challenge was a tough one for me. I'm not a lace person. But I do have this lace from the wedding dress of a teddy bear that I had when I was a kid. So I used some. The lace is over thirty years old. Who said anything about being a hoarder? I found a good tea stamp that I haven't used yet and thought I'd try out TLC61, which was "Pencil Over"--stamp an image in white and then color over it all with colored pencils. I used SC89 for my layout, but changed the order of the layers to suit my needs. After I took the picture, I realized that I forgot to go for the extra cookies by using a brad or a gem. Oops!

WOW, now that is hoarding and I should know as hubby always says toss say no as may need one day and so many times do use. Came out so cute--and I will not tell if you do not but just glue one down when you send then you can have a cookie or two----LOL

I think you created a wonderful card even if you are not into lace. Genius to use the teddy bear lace. The gold embossing makes this look wonderfully vintage. And I like the sounds of that technique and how you made it work for this card.

Wow how special is this....30 year old lace from Teddy's wedding dress. I hope you include that detail in your message to a very, very lucky Teapotter. Beautiful work Jen.

You were brave to finally use that lace, Jenn, it is so pretty, too! Your card layout is terrific with the textured bg and that is a lovely teapot/friendship stamp!

Poor Teddy - here I am imagining you trying to hide the now missing few inches of lace and the hole it has made in the wedding dress. Will have people wondering in years to come - he he. The card has a beautiful vintage feel to it.

I think this is a wonderful card- friendship and tea definitely go together, as well as lace tablecloths. I love the color scheme you used here too! I had to giggle about your "hoarder" comment- I am giggling with you my friend! ~Karen.
