This is for Karen's challenge today. I have been wanting to make this card and today's challenge was the perfect push to get it done. I did not doodle per say, I controlled the lines, for if I were to doodle there would be a fine mess. I taped off my plaid using masking paper, including the frame, which was cut into strips then sponged on the Candied Apple, doing a heavy layer for a rich colour. I then removed the masking paper and with Gold Wink of Stella brush and pen finished the design. I matted the frame to gold metallic cardstock and die cut the stars using the same paper. Added the gold embossed sentiment on vellum to finish. There are close up pics in this post on my blog.

I love the gold star accents. A card that pops! I love it.

Nothing wrong with perfectly straight doodles, especially if they make a card this gorgeous! Seriously, it is an absolutely stunning Christmas card! I love that rich red with the Gold Wink of Stella stripes. And that fun sentiment is the perfect finishing touch!

Super pretty, Kia! Love the way you did the plaid and the stars are so pretty. Great job. Hugz
