Cathy has challenged us to use pink for a get well or encouragement card with the option of sending it to someone who is fighting cancer. So SuperMiles is getting some pink in his card today. I thought the best way to use pink in his card would be to add it to some green diy plaid. Plus, this month on the Crop Stop October Link Party, shoregirl had a couple fun twists on a diy plaid background that I wanted to try. She went back over every other thick stripe of here lighter color to add a little more interest. I also love the way she sponged the edges.
Hey, Mojo Monday is back! So I used that sketch today It was fun to put this card together. I have been on a mission to use something that I have hanging around on each of my cards. Thatâs why thereâs a random lightbulb on there. I found it hanging around in my craft room and I quite like it there.

Those who are fighting these awful diseases are super heroes! I love the plaid you gave miles. Best not to burden the poor guy with all pink! Super hero or not some guys just can't deal with pink.

What a sweet card for Miles - it certainly made me grin. The plaid looks great, and I hear you on using things on my desk. I keep it moderately tidy, and yet I could make cards for a week and still have, I am sure, odds and ends left. Yesterday's just for fun card picked up a deer and a tree - so how do I still have a deer and a tree left? I love your lightbulb and it's glossy glassy shine.

This is an outstanding card with your plaid and this great sentiment. Bald and brave go hand in hand.
