I am trying to leave my comfort zone of traditional colors for Christmas cards and decided to use CC696-Pineapple, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz without the dessert of summer treats.
While the colors I used belong to red and green, this card has a little bit of a tropical feel, IMHO. For the paper strips I used the Ghost stamping technique (aka Jennifer McGuire's ink layering). I stamped the pine bough in white unicorn and then sponged Leaf Green ink over it. I again stamped the pine bough, but in Peeled Paint. I applied the same technique with the berry stamp using Abandoned Coral for the sponging and the top stamping. The sentiment was stamped last in white unicorn. I cut a die cut circle in half and made the folded tree. I added Nuvo drops as decoration and lots of mini circle confetti. The tree trunk was colored Tattered Rose and Mustard Seed markers and a squiggle of Nuvo drops was added. I definitely need more practice with dropping the drops.

Lovely card! I really like that folded tree especially with your custom paper and decoration. The little squiggle on the trunk looks great! Your colours work wonderfully well for Christmas!

Julie I remember doing these trees like this. They were so much fun!! I love yours, and I also love the way you used one of the panels for your sentiment! Great job!!

Is this ever pretty! I love the panels with the ghost stamping and the colors you've used. And I had forgotten about those fun, folded tress; so pretty decorated with the jewel drops.
