This took A LOT longer than I anticipated . . . I started with sky blue cardstock in hopes to cut some of the sponging - ha ha ha - Once I got an ominous sky going, I randomly stamped webs over the area followed by silver netting (which is hard to see in the photo but awesome IRL. Stamped the witchy woman into the mix and colored with prismacolor pencils (I did have to paper piece the skin-toned part since I couldn't get enough blue out with pencil). I had originally stamped and embossed the sentiment directly on the frame but oops - it didn't quite work so sponged another scrap of blue, stamped a web and my sentiment and cut with deckle scissors. Die cut the center from my scene, sponged both deckle edges then mounted the center directly to the White card base. I know from experience that when I mount something with fun foam it tends to move and expand a bit for me so I intentionally chose orange to lift the outer frame, so it would add a fine line of brightness around the frame - you can see hints of it in the pic but much more IRL.

What a fantastic cloudy night sky. Reminds me of a forest we walked through which was full of cobwebs that brushed in our faces all the time - thank goodness it was day time! Actually, I quite like forests at night so long as I know they're safe. The irregular edge is a super frame for your witch. You're right about the fun foam expanding - at least, it does for me too. I think for my roses card I trimmed it a little, and that was mainly why I went with chipboard for the owl frame when trimming the inside would have been just that little bit more fiddly.

I almost always paper piece my people in because of that very reason with skin tones so, I found my self nodding along as I read the story. I love the colors in the background you did for this

The time you took coloring all of this and getting that sky just right was really worth it! It is not only spooky but beautiful! Great witch image BTW.
