For today's Sketch and Alphabet Challenges: Letter R: Robin, who stopped by to say goodbye until next spring.
Also for Once Upon A Time: "A Leaf From Heaven" fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Simon Says Stamp: Animal Antics. I used a bird.
Well, I have to tell you, this card is Not my style using dp's to matt main image and another dp panel, but I do like it! = ) I'm such a thrifty gal (mom said it has Always been in my blood), so I just love being able to use up itty bitty scraps. For each of the leaves and bird, I stamped onto scraps of WC paper & fussy cut then colored using blender pens and markers. The vanilla panel was spritzed and sponged before gluing on the images. Curry twine was added to the leaves & a white gel pen used on the robin. The matting is popped up. Thanks for stopping in! ~Roberta

Gorgeous! I'm with you, I use up just about every little scrap. I even use my hand held punch to punch out confetti to be used in my window cards. I love your coloring on your leaves and robin. I also like the sponging around your panel. Lovely job!

I love seeing that stamp set being used. Such a pretty card and still such a classic set.

Very eye-catchng, Roberta. I love your papers and I have used some dp this week. I usually watercolor or just make a white CAS card. But, I have been in the mood to use some paper. Your paper is very pretty and I love those leaves and, of course, the bird. I saw some robins getting a drink of water at my background pond over the weekend and told hubby they were coming through going every more south. A few stay around for the winter but most leave. Sad to see them go.

Gorgeous papers! Now, I wish I had bought them! Love this, Roberta. Your addition of the splatters on the vanilla along with the little bird, makes this so charming!

You're right. It's not your style, but doesn't it feel good to step out of your comfort zone sometimes? I think this card sure is fabulous! Also, love the "waste not, want not" of using up scraps.
