I focused on her pineapple theme, using a sentiment strip, her use of paper. Changes: different paper, added washi tape, left off embellishments, no stamping and added twine.
I used paper and coordinating washi tape that was gifted to me by DawnMercedes, my BakerÂ’s Dozen Swap partner these past 13 weeks. Thanks Dawn! The paper & tape have amazing shiny gold pineapples.
Even though itÂ’s pink, this card is going to my hubby because he LOVES pineapple! Eats it all the time. I used a Kraft card base and added some rough twine for a more masculine look.
The sentiment strip is from the paper pack and it was just the right one. My DH is recovering from major spinal cord surgery, being treated for spinal cord injury and is learning to walk again. We have spoken about how life won’t ever get back to normal or the way it used to be because it is a new normal now. Every day is an adventure, every twist & turn along the way through life. Over the years we’ve experienced many “new normal” times, such as when each of the kids were born, when we moved to AZ, etc… One adventure after the other. Even though it’s pink, this is a terrific encouragement card for my DH.
Thanks to Angel for inspiring my card and thanks to you for looking!

I love pineapples and love this card. I'm actually thinking of getting a small pineapple tatoo to remind me often that I am should stand tall, wear a crown, and be sweet on the inside.

Beautiful encouragement card and wonderful case of Angel's card! Love the combination of colours! Great that you had both DP and washi tape with a pineapple motif. Hubby will surely appreciate it!
