This is for Angie & Sabrina Inspiration Challenge. I selected the last photo. It reminded me of a painting by Claude Monte, one of my favorite artists. I had this hydrangea image that was previously stamped. It had turned out quite dark so I was not sure about using it; nevertheless, it was waiting on my desk. In my drawer of created backgrounds, I found this one in just the right colors. I do not remember how it was created; I really must take notes! The bloom is watercolored in Pool Party and then Lavender Lace on the petal edges. At first I used Bermuda Bay on the leaves to match the inspiration photo, but I did not like it, so I used Garden Green over it. There is a hint of Bermuda around the edges. I used white Nuvo drops in the centers which took on a tint of blue. The sentiment is white heat embossed and cut in a banner. So happy to be inspired to use this image and somethings from my stash today. Thanks ladies for the challenge! Thanks for looking.

Diane, your card is beautiful...it's been waiting for a debut!
I've a stash full of 'just waitings'. In fact, I spent some time last night going through them. I thought...well, that one is sure fun...or I did THAT. Thanks for reminding me of the freshness of a summers' dream with your card today...

Yes! That last thumb reminded me of Monet too. You have the perfect background to pull out, too. I remember Susie saying to me that she makes a note in pencil on the back, but I'm never that disciplined when I'm making backgrounds. The hydrangea looks perfect paired with it. The Nuvo drops look wonderful.
