Lisa is our hostess for this week's MMTPT challenge, and she is asking us to "Laugh it Up" and create humorous cards to send Leann, recovering from a fractured leg.
You can see the inside of my card on the challenge thread...and also at the bottom of the post, details about how to request a tea-party (card shower) if you know anyone you think would enjoy it.
I used a plaid background from when I was practicing for a TLC last year. I stamped a border all round the edge just to add definition, and from the same PB set I stamped a little twine bow to add to the bone. Stamped and coloured the dog, masked him and sponged in the background, then decided to add texture with Canvas as well. I think he has a very expressive face, so while humour is not my forte, I was able to come up with a sentiment to write on the front and a punchline inside. I did try to add a cone, but it just cluttered the card up.

This is one doggone terrific card Sabrina. This pup is so adorable and he does indeed have a very expressive face. I'm wondering how he is feeling about the tie he is wearing. Or he is concerned the cone is coming next. Ha! Humor in cardmaking is not my forte either, but you really accomplished it here with this great sentiment and inside too! I am so impressed with this gorgeous plaid bg you did, and the added canvas texture inside the photo frame is a great touch too. Leann will be thrilled with this card you made for her Sabrina. ~Karen.
