This is my sample for CC708. Pam is our hostess and has chosen so saffron, real red and garden green for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is to use a stencil.
I took the Stampin'-Up stripes stencil to create my plaid background. I started vertically and sponged with mowed lawn distress ink and then turned the stencil in a horizontal position and sponged with fired brick ink.
I thought the plaid background had the farmhouse look so I wanted the image to reflect that look. This new Handmade Twig Tree die from CottageCutz is a perfect complement.
I layered it on a so saffron panel and added a few red sequins. The sentiment is part of a Hero Arts set.
Hope you can play along with us this week. Pam has picked some great colors and we cant wait to see how you work the dessert option into your designs.

Mary, your twig tree is perfect against the hand-made plaid. Everything goes together so well, and does suggest a rustic theme. The little bits of greenery on the tree are an extra festive touch!
