I love using scratch paper that's all inky & sprayed & messy looking but still beautiful. There are a bunch of them that I saved just for this reason. I used one from my stash that had been printed w/ clip art music then used as scratch paper under something I was sponging &/or brayering. It also had splatters all over it.
The white layer was die cut w/ the leaves to let the paper show thru. A splatter image was also haphazardly inked & stamped just a bit around the leaves. I added the greeting & a die cut button, & a small strip of the same scrap paper & done!
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ closeups, the inside & product links: The Write Stuff

Gorgeous background piece for your leaves, Julie. I tend to do most of my sponging on a non-stick mat so don't get as many scraps worth keeping. I like the way you used the extra strip as a border.

The leaf panel is so vibrant and the stamping provided beautiful texture to the leaves themselves. The offset panel balances this lovely card. LOVE IT!

Gorgeous card! I love your use of the negative die space, & the clever use of your scratch paper!
