I look forward to Saturday mornings and the IC challenge. I wanted to do a skull card today so I was a bit worried about finding something to inspire me on this site as I was super drawn to those dog and fishing pictures. Then I found this great belt buckle:
And this card was born. I used vintage photo distress ink to get the leather look, then used a faux sewing kit to get the stitching into the card. Next I glittered up a few layers of the new Spooky Skull stamp from DRS. I could not figure out how to bring down the macabre feel until I ran across this Hugz sentiment in my sentiment drawer (I asked DRS to throw the Hugz with a z on it last year and they did). Fun, fun, fun.

I love your inspiration-I considered buying that belt. And, now I love the card that came from your inspiration. I really like the background layers you created, it reminds me of leather and wrought iron and I imagine this beautiful, sparkly skull is on display in a museum.
