ItÂ’s teapot tickle time! Somebody is getting a card made in a hotel room! Hopefully, IÂ’ll get home tonight, if all the thunderstorms let me. IÂ’ve used AllyÂ’s sketch to mak this card that is inspired by my favorite book. IÂ’ve loved C.S. LewisÂ’s Chronicles of Narnia since I first read them. No, I have not outgrown them. I remember when I first read the series, my favorite book was The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. So I found a coloring book page that looks like waves and another nautical page. I colored them with colored pencils, black Sharpie, and gold marker. Added Wink of Stella to the pearl and some of the water. I had to move the little circle element down a bit, because I didnÂ’t want to cover up the fish and the pearl. WasnÂ’t sure what I was going to add, but I figured I could draw and color a lifesaver. ItÂ’s waiting to get some twine added when I get home (why didnÂ’t I pack some?) and IÂ’ll ScanNCut a greeting.

Oh, I love this. It was the first of the Narnia books I read too, I think...and I still live and re-read them. I used to have a poster with a map of Narnia and the environs, done by Pauline Baynes ( if I've remembered her name right. My dad mounted it in a sheet of hardboard and it hung in my bedroom till I left home. So I love this card. I can't imagine why you didn't pack some twine, LOL. I'm still in awe that you have enough supplies with you to take part in the challenges!

Great card and you managed to do the sketch challenge as well. I love all the swirls. How much of your suitcase is clothes and how much is crafting materials? LOL

Hope you are home now safe and sound. I had a chuckle about you not packing twine and all the funny comments here. Jen your card looks amazing!! The books have inspired you perfectly. I bet this creation looks even more dramatic in real life.....now hurry up and add that twine. Xx
