I think this card has all the right colours - or as near to them as can get for the Challenge. The background is definitely Grapefruit Grove. There is a splash of Mango Melody in the wattle flowers and the image is framed with Shady Spruce. The image is coloured with watercolour paints and watercolour pencils.
This is a new stamp from an Australian company and I hope that they are going to bring out more Australian themed images in the future. This image is of a bunch of native flowers, blossoms, leaves and gum nuts. The little Aussie bird is a blue wren - and I have to tell you that I have them in my garden at the moment. The brilliant little blue male with his harem of females. They are so tiny and have a lovely twitter. They love using one of my bird baths for a wash each day.
Hope you enjoy.

Gorgeous!! So glad I took a quick peek at the gallery over my morning coffee. Love your bird, love the Australian trees and fun pun. I have a niece in the bird field and while she was in Australia last year my aunt sent me a photo of her with a blue wren...I was amazed to see it. Your birds are certainly so much more colourful than ours. Wattle is something I haven't seen here, not even in the Botanical Gardens where they have plenty of the proteas.

Helen, I so loved reading your write up about these images. At first glance I thought these must be native to Australia. Beautiful card and I surely wish we had these enchanting sounding blue wrens where I live!

Oh, sweet Helen, I can imagine hearing the sweet little wrens and would delight in seeing them using the bird bath every day! Birds are so sweet and bring joy! What a beautiful card with Australian-themed images! It's beautifully colored as are all your cards, and I love the frame with the beautiful colors! It's gorgeous, sweet friend, and I know you are starting to enjoy the beauty of spring. I hope the new stamp company will develop more Australian-themed stamps. You certainly have the inspiration for them!!! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo

This is quite the show-stopper of a card my friend. You have colored this gorgeous images to the 9's and brought it to life so beautifully. I have never heard of this kind of bird before and enjoyed your description of them so very much. Your puny sentiment is so delightful on this amazing card you made using this week's colors! ~Karen.
