I realized I'm woefully lacking in supplies involving balloons. But this stamp of happy Christmas dogs has one of them carrying a balloon.
I stamped on hot press watercolour paper and watercoloured with Gansai Tambi paints. There were enough Santa hats, gifts, balloon, etc. that I could get all the colours of the rainbow in there. Then I decided to repeat the rainbow under them to ground them.
I added a sentiment featuring the word "merry" since the English Cocker has historically been referred to as the "merry cocker" due to their happy playful personality.
I added a very thin black border and popped it up on fun foam on a rustic cream cardbase. I went over the pompoms and brims of the hats with a Quickie glue pen and added glitter.
Many of you know that I have an English Cocker Spaniel (sadly only one now as my old boy died at 14 in July) but I bet few of you know that English Cockers come in a wide spectrum of colours, probably more than any other breed - there are over 20 colours allowed under kennel club breed standards. Breeders often talk about the rainbow of English Cocker colours. So for this card, I used rainbow colours!

Very fun card, especially so because of the rainbow of colors! I am glad you found a stamp with a balloon! Thanks for playing in the Free 4 All Challenge this week!
