This card is for both the September monthly Christmas challenge and also the FC September Christmas challenge.
I actually did it last week and haven't had time to upload so here it is.
Quite a quick card with me first of all blending the background onto some white X-Press It Blending card first with some Wilted Violet and Hickory smoke and then going over this with the Black soot. this was to give the black some depth.
I then wrapped four elastic bands around an acrylic block and inked them up with the India ink and randomly stamped over the blended background crisscrossing as I went.
Next I stamped the greeting then heat embossed this with the gold embossing powder and finally before mounting it on the layers I wrapped some gold cord around it and added the lazer cut start.....and there you have it.
Thanks for looking and I hope I have inspired you.

Marg, this is gorgeous! It's such a dramatic and rich card with your amazing background (I've not done that technique in a long time, but I love it over the blended background). I agree that the star die cut down the side is beautiful, and I love the gold cord and stunning card! Perfect card for the FC/DD Christmas Challenge, my friend! Hugs and love! xoxo
