For Toni's Fruit challenge today, I chose lemons because I just won this stamp set from The Project Bin on the Word Art Wednesday blog. I combined today's challenge with TLC55 which was Faux Dry Embossing and SC77. I figured if I was going to do this Faux Dry Embossing technique I might as well do it with stamped images. So I stamped a bunch of lemon slices and cut them out with the ScanNCut. Then I cut them again to layer underneath. I used the negative of the cut as a stencil on the yellow background. I also used a Ranger stencil that kind of reminded me of lemon seeds. The sketch called for a little embellishment in the corner of the smaller panel. I know starfish have nothing to do with lemons, but these happened to be the same color
And since I had a whole lemon themed card going on, I added a bit of net packaging that a beach toy came in. Silly me. I threw out my lemon packaging.

Fun pun. I love the unexpected combination of the lemon with the lemon-yellow starfish and net. I'd say the black netting is more effective than the green or yellow that the lemons might have come in.
