| | I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Sabrina (cook22) is our hostess and she chose the theme of "Memories are made of" in commemoration of all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. I am really touched Sabrina that you chose this theme today. This card will be going to Mary who lives in Canada and is facing some major life changes after moving into a nursing home. Poppies are a flower of remembrance so I stamped 1 large poppy and 2 smaller poppies. I chose yellow for friendship and the red one is in memory of those who lost their lives on this date. Making this card brought up a lot of memories and emotions for me so doing this was very therapeutic for me. I placed my own parents into a nursing home in June 2017 and I remember it so vividly. This is such a huge life change so I will be remembering Mary in my thoughts and prayers as she faces this enormous life change now. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen. |
