This week’s teapot challenge is ‘Memories are made of’ and for the mother of fellow SCS Karen (Chinook)
She loves flowers and hummingbirds and decided on a shaker card in a flower/heart theme.
I die cut the heart on a slant to accommodate the sentiment, taped and glued acetate to the back and then repeated the stamped sentiment 3 times.
Using a 3/8” heart punch, I punched out several hearts from a pink & gold heart DP that’s from the same paper pad. Added holographic sequins in the mix for the shaker card.
I hope the transition to a nursing home is an easy one for KarenÂ’s mother, and this card makes her smile.

Oh, gorgeous! Shaker cards are always such fun to receive (and make, too!). It's so pretty. Well done on fitting the sentiment into the heart - that can be a bit tricky but the little tilt did it - and let you add some great repetition.

When I first saw this I thought it was a shaker card. HAD to take a closer look...it IS....and so pretty of one. What a lovely idea for MARY. Very pretty and perfect paper for a older soft look. Like old country roses...She will love this...TFS..:0)

What a gorgeous shaker card this is Jeannie! I adore this gorgeous floral dsp you used for the top layer and this wonderful polka dot dsp for the inside layer. How neat that you punched out the bits to make the shaker pieces- I love that! I also love that you used a heart-shaped die cut for your shaker window to go with the wonderful sentiments you used. Karen's mother is going to LOVE this wonderful card you made for her! Hugs! ~Karen.

This is so pretty and I really like how you repeated the sentiment. I wouldn't have thought of that. My Mom will love this - such pretty patterned paper too.
