For today's Color Challenge - since I don't have SU colours, I got as close as I could with Distress inks.
I took a piece of mixed media cs and used Loll Thompson's splash watercolouring technique (see ). I started with Distress Oxide Peeled Paint and splashed it on the lower half of the cs. Then I used a bunch of other colours, one at a time, drying after each, to colour the upper half of the cs.
I die cut the three wildflowers out of my piece, getting the stems at the bottom and the flowers at the top. Then die cut them again out of scrap cs and layered them for more substance.
I glued a stitched frame to the card base, stamped a sentiment, tied the bunch of wildflowers with a piece of twine, and then glued them down.

I love this technique because you never know how it's going to turn out. I can't believe you used so many different colors, and they all look so beautiful together, Susan!

What a gorgeous card this is. I love this technique you used and I especially love the results you achieved with this wildflower bunch. The stitched framing and delicate shading around the flowers really draws your eye right to these gorgeous die cut flowers. What a beautiful card this is! ~Karen.
