Another fall card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. I sized the image in Photoshop, and printed it onto a panel of watercolor paper. I colored the image itself with Inktense pencils, using a damp paintbrush to pick up the colors from the pencils and apply it to the paper. For the background, I used my watercolor paints. I first "sketched" out a path with clean water in front of the wagon, and then painted with brown. I added green around that for grass, letting it & the brown kind of bleed into each other for a soft transition, and finally blue for the sky. Then I set that aside to dry.
I used the "Leaves" embossing folder to emboss a panel of orange cardstock to go behind my image panel. I glued that to an A2-size piece of green cardstock, and adhered a burgundy strip to my card front. I had cut a narrow strip of green from the mat panel, and stamped my greeting onto that with Versafine ink. I cut the ends into V shapes. I used liquid glue to adhere my image panel to the card front, since the watercolor paper was a bit warped AND it was going over a very textured embossed panel. I used my ATG tape runner to adhere the greeting banner. Finally, I adhered the card front to a white card base, and glued on 2 wood veneer leaves from my stash, as per the sketch.
