Stef is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us four lovely colors to work with. They are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam and Balmy Blue. The dessert option this week is to use ribbon or twine on your card.
I really wanted dessert so I subbed Bashful Blue instead of Balmy Blue, because I had Bashful Blue ribbon on hand. I did a version of the "rock and roll" technique to give my flowers the color gradation between the two purple shades. This retired Stampin' Up! set is one of my all-time favorites!
I tied a ribbon and added a few sequins and some Nuvo glitter drops, and it was done!

What a lovely card this is! I have never thought to use this stamp set with purple ink before and I love it! Very nice use of your stitched mat layer, and rounded corner layer along with your image tag. Sure enjoyed seeing your dessert on this card- great call on using bashful blue! ~Karen.
This is such an adorable card, Barbara! Love the layers and dimension and I really love that you used same colors on the top flowers and one of the matting papers. Violet flowers are just beautiful. Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
