I used paper of my own making for this technique--it's actually recycled recycled paper. The paper is computer paper that had been in the scrap pile, then used for colorful techniques. Some of those color catchers turn out to be pretty and I squirrel away the pretty pieces knowing I will find a good place to use them some day. Today was one of those days. So all those colorful bits on this background are torn pieces of color catchers.
The Serendipity technique is not hard. It is time consuming. The hardest part is deciding what papers and images to put together. The rest is just tear and paste.

It's a perfect technique for ATCs. I remember making some for a swap once - I think I needed three full sheets of card to get the amount I needed, so I pulled everything out onto a picnic blanket in the back garden and spent hours pasting away . The coloured scraps you have used are so effective, they make a gorgeous background. What great double recycling.

Beautiful Serendipity card. Good idea using vellum for the sentiment. The scraps from my serendipity card were too good to throw away so I also made an ATC, too, but it didn’t get uploaded.

Fabulous card created from doubly recycled paper. Pretty colors and wonderful stamping, love the dragonfly and the use of the vellum for the sentiment strip.
