The idea to make a Tunnel Card was this brilliant suggestion from my friend Stephanie. I did not know what this was, but it seemed perfect for a Dungeon and Dragons theme. I used a rock wall Stencil that I just recently purchased from Altenew. It did not cover the card area so I had to do some creative merging of the edges and still ended up with a more obvious line along the top, so I turned that into the ceiling line and cut some wood grain paper into pillars. At the lake house, I only have a Cuttlebug machine and was stymied when I realized that my card was too big to run through to cut out the center circle, but I was going to a class at a local Stamp Store the next day and took it with me and used their large die cutting machine. They saved the day! When I started to assemble the card, the inside where the dragon was seemed too starkly white, so I used a Diana Wakely Leafy Stencil and made that into flames around the dragon and knight. My stamping buddies were working on Halloween cards while I was working on this and I thought it would be fun to add a giant web and spider to my dungeon. Some of my characters are stamped and some are cut from the Myths and Magic DSP. I used a Versamarker pen and some Iridescent Ice EP on the clothes of my stamped characters to mimic the simmer on the characters from the specialty DSP. I added hanging vines to the tunnel and some sequin treasure under the dragon. My greeting was computer generated and cut with a banner die. I will confess that with all the multiple layers and stamping, cutting and stenciling, this was quite a bit of work to create, but it was a big hit with everyone, so definitely worth it! You can see the card front and back here:

Wow! Kathy, this is a spectacular card! I recently saw Jennifer McGuire`s technique for tunnel cards and it looks like fun. You have a lot of really fun and creative details with this cute and magical scene. I really like how the tunnel area is so bright with color for the perspective of looking inside. I can tell the amount of time and effort that went into putting this together, but well worth it! I have the same Altenew stencil, so I may be CASEing this in the future.
