I made two cards for yesterday's challenge. I went outside and found some ferns and some hydrangea leaves. I couldn't resist trying the duoprinting with chlorophyll with the fern. But then for some reason I decided I wanted to fill in a little bit of stem detail and I don't like how it came out. For the other card, I did TLC37 which was blocked collage. I masked a frame and sponged some ink, stamped all my leaves and then the trees, script, and a few acorns. When I removed the mask, I stamped the sentiment and then added a couple of leaf stickers that I've had forever. These cards will also go to the Freetown Historical Society Fundraiser. You see, I live in a village. It's called Assonet and it's part of the town of Freetown. And people who live in Assonet are proud to live in Assonet and many of them would prefer their cards to say Assonet instead of Freetown. You've got to give the people what they want. Last year I raised $125 for the Historical Society. I'm hoping I can do even better this year!

From simple to complex, these cards are both lovely! Your fern looks great. I think the stem detail gives it a watercolored look that ties it to the background very well. The layers of texture and color on the second card are simply gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen a background I liked better than this one. You ought to auction this card - it might bring $125 all by itself! ;)

I like the fern one, but I think the collage one is totally fabulous. The masking is so effective and the collage is amazing. I loved looking at it to try to pick out all the different stamps you used. It's so beautiful.

Both cards are wonderful! I prefer your fern card simply because I am drawn to more clean and simple projects. I like the other one as well, but more for the fact that I just can't do collage that ever looks that good!

You lost a little detail of the fern leave by masking it off but it is still pretty cool! The Lovely as a tree card is absolutely fantastic with the leaf prints added to the collage of trees! And the two stickers really give great out of the box interest to this card! Both of them will be a great addition to your fund raiser cards!
