This is for Sandy's tickle a teapotter challenge to use things from our stamping past...I used mulberry paper, stamps I haven't used in ages, and deckle scissors. I embossed the mulberry paper which I think turned out really cool...added the frame which was cut with the scissors...I always loved the deckle edging but it's hard to get a super straight line using those scissors...which is why we all use dies now. The woman was stamped on glossy paper and cut out...I then added some ribbon for a wrap...also some sequins and gems for accents. I hope you like it. BTW-I made this at 4am..could not sleep at all this morning....I'm sure I'll be tired later...

What else would you rather be doing at 4:00 am? I think this is wonderful! Love what you've done with all your old stuff! I really like the edge from your scissors!

Such a striking card full of texture with classic colors Polly!
I totally agree with your comment on trying to cut straight lines with deckle scisdors! Some were even more difficult than others depending on the cut pattern!
I especially love your mulberry paper which is something I have never used! Beautiful Asian designed card!
Funny, I was up near your neck of the woods last week on the North shore! We may have crossed travels paths!!

Wow! This is one gorgeous card Polly! I especially love your deckle edge frame done in black and the gorgeous embossing done on the mulberry paper. I have never once thought to emboss mulberry paper so thank you for the fantastic inspiration on this. Your lady looks very elegant in her "mink stole" that you so cleverly designed and made for her. The added gold trim really is the perfect finishing touch! ~Karen.

Yes, the mulberry paper looks really good with the embossing. I have a deckle-edged scissors that I never use for exactly the reason you mentioned.
Sorry you couldn't sleep, but at least you got a beautiful card out of your sleepless night.
