This is for Allison's layered wonder Sketch Challenge. This layout gave me a chance to use some retired autumn papers in my on-going quest to use my DSP stash. I coupled the designs with a brown panel stamped with a wood-grain, embossed, swiped with white craft ink and distressed on the edges. The lower leaf is stamped directly on the DSP panel and partially die-cut at the bottom edge. A second leaf was stamped, fully die-cut and popped up on Dimensionals. Both leaves were colored with chalk but you can still see some of the pattern of the paper in the leaf. For element six, I tied a gingham ribbon around the panel; but I did need to raise it higher up so not to cover the leaf. I was challenged with this one, and as always with the Sketch Challenge, it was fun. TFL

Love your idea of stamping the leaves on the dsp. The gingham ribbon and bow with the button are lovely as well! Always like to see ideas for using up my stash of buttons!

This was a great challenge to use up retired papers! Funny, I did the same! Love the fall papers, gingham bow, button and fall colors!
They all go together perfectly! Beautiful card!

You know I love how we're all trying to use up our DP stash as though we would ever let ourselves get even close to the end of it without panicking that we needed to go out and buy more paper! Ha! But I love this fall paper that you used and I think it's really neat how you stamped the leaves on the pattern. This is a lovely autumn card!

Beautiful autumn card! I ran away in fear from this sketch but you embraced it and won! Love your DP leaves and the way you lifted one of them over the wood grain panel. That gingham ribbon and bow is marvellous! The dark brown gingham looks so comfortably rich!
