Sandy is our guest hostess for the Blast From the Past Tickle a Teapotter challenge, and she's inviting us to bring out all those old supplies and show them some daylight.
Well, I used my Fiskars texture plates for adding texture to the grass and sky in two of my waterfall panels, I made a waterfall card which is a pretty old technique (and how I discovered SCS), I used plenty of eyelets and some fibers, and I used one of my first stamp sets. I made quite a few waterfall cards with it in the past - all pre-dating my SCS gallery. I can tell you that they sure look dated when compared to this - which I freshened up by using a cling wrap background (Brusho powders, spray starch, Brusho Acrylic silver shimmer spray), and adding some embossed vellum over the anchoring strip. Oh - I guess corner punches are pretty old too...
I stamped my four panels and coloured the bugs with pencils, also added pencil backgrounds to the ladybug and ant, and sponged a background for the bee with a little stencilling. The dandelion head on the front is from a Unity set, and it's just about the right size to match with an embossing folder which was a recent magazine freebie. I used my Sakura silver pen to add lots of edging - that's also a very early purchase.
Sigh, I almost never stick a card front onto a base upside down but this one I did, and had to trim it down and cut a new base.

Wowza super techniques for your great waterfall card. I just did my first waterfall card during DTGD and I really love playing with the card so I am going to have to make a few more as they are fun. Love your great images too that you posted in the thread.

This is simply amazing Sabrina. I love what you have done with your waterfall card, and how you turned it on it's side too. All the distressing, brads, ribbon, fibers and glitter make for a gorgeous card with all the bg techniques you employ. Every now and then, I place my card front on upside down or backwards too (sigh) so I chuckled a bit (with you) on this one. I really enjoyed seeing this wonderful waterfall technique card of yours in the gallery today. ~Karen.

Oh, it warms my heart to see all those lovely eyelets. I actually like using them, I usually just don't think to do it. The blues and greens are beautiful.

Oh, Geez, Sabrina, I have put it upside down dozens of times. I hate when that happens. Fiskars texture plates. Rock on! Waterfall card! Fibers! Eyelets! You've got a whole box of cookies! Excellent and a fun challenge. I knew I'd enjoy this gallery.

OH man I have done that too glued a front on upside down. and backwards like on the wrong side of te card opening. I like the technique. I still have not done that...would be fun for like seasons or fun stamps like these lil guys. Pretty base for them too. It was fun to look back at where we started and then now...so neat....TFS...LOVE it

Wow! I haven't made a waterfall card in forever! I even have some stamp sets just for waterfall cards! I love your beautiful background, and your FIBERS! Great use of eyelets to hold it all together! I glue my card front upside down quite often, but use a glue that will let go if I notice fast enough.

Fabulous! I love the old and new mix for this fresh take featuring older items. Your background is gorgeous and I love the fibers! Such sweet images. I adhere my cards on backward a few times a year. It's annoying! Glad you could save your card!

It all seems new to me! I just made my first waterfall card for DTGD
I did want to use my corner rounder punch because I've had that since my scrapbooking days, but never found a place to in my card. Fabulous colors and textures on this beauty. I'm glad to know that even my heroes make the same mistakes I do sometimes. LOL.

OMG this is great! Thanks for posting the inside pieces..they're darling..I really like that bee with the watering can I totally forgot about those texture plates..I have something similar...don't know that I ever used those very much if at all. Those fibers are cool...I have those, too and only use them now and then. I totally agree about the early cards I've made...they look so amateur now. Super waterfall card!!
