This is my card for CC702. Pam is our hostess and she has chosen early espresso, cherry cobbler and so saffron for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is back to school. I skipped out on dessert this week. I went with a Christmas card instead.
My card is using the newly released Christmas Fawns die from CottageCutz. The stenciled background is done with an MFT stencil and Stampin'-Up shimmery white embossing paste. There is lots of sparkle IRL- that didn't really pick up on my photo. You know it's one of those weeks when the camera is not cooperating.
I cut my fawns in baked brown sugar cardstock and did some sponging for a little contrast. The tree branch is cut in early espresso-birds in cherry cobbler and the little ornament that caught the fawns attention in so saffron cardstock.
I placed the fawns on a snowbank and covered the top with Stampin'-Up chunky glitter. Stamped the sentiment and added a few yellow enamel dots to complete this card. Hope you can play along with us this week. Pam has picked some great colors and the DT has lots of inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.

Aw, those deer and birds are so sweet! We have had a lot more deer in our neighborhood recently. We live right in the middle of town, but we have pockets of green space sprinkled around, so we are used to seeing some running around. The other day, a little spotted fawn was just laying outside my window with a few of his buddies hanging around. So neat. This card makes me think of them.

Your little fawns look so fascinated by the shiny gold bauble hanging from the tree! I love their expressions and the tilt of their heads. You made your snow very realistic and sparkly, too! What a fun Christmas card!
