Another card for Carla's Ride the Wind WTUI challenge. I've been too busy too look since I got home from work, but when I had a look this morning the gallery was a veritable hot-air ballon festival, and I was thinking of what else I could bring along. Darts have wings...and this will go to a friend's son for his birthday - he'll just be starting college this year.
It uses one of the coffee filters left over from trying out Dina's recent Coffee Filter Prints tutorial for two of the decorative layers. I stuck it to white card, and then embossed with a folder which is meant to be lines of stitching but which perfectly echos the flight of a paper plane. I highlighted all the stitching with a silver gel pen, and also edged the kraft base all round.
The moon was just a circle of DP stuck to card and punched with a 1 1/2" punch. I embossed it with Spots and Dots, and then sponged with various inks, finishing off with a coat of Versamark and buffing some Perfect Pearls in.
The inside is HERE.

Very clever, Sabrina, to use a dart and I love the stitching embossing folder. Don't think I have seen that one. Another clever idea with the punch for the moon. I think this is a perfect card for someone beginning college.

Love it, Sabrina! A paper airplane was Plan A for me and didn't work out. Your card is marvelous. The stitched embossing is a perfect trail and great with your beautiful bg. How fortunate to find that little gem in a magazine. Thanks for adding another way to ride the wind to my challenge.

Those filter backgrounds came out terrific!! They are a great backdrop for the paper dart as you say, I'd say paper airplane!! Nice inside & out. Love that added silver edge!
