This is my card for Polly's MMTPT526 Heart of Gold challenge. To find out why we are sending our cards to Susan this week, check out the challenge!
I took Polly's brief of using up leftovers seriously here. The background was one of my unused nail polish marbling pieces, when I was prepping for DTGD. I trimmed it down, edged it with black Sharpie and added a background die - I was able to cut it apart and strategically place it so it filled the card and the cut part is covered by the image panel.
That too is a leftover from DTGD - the watercoloured tissue was made for my framed flowers for Kittie's challenge, using Brushos, and stamping with various stamps in gold, black and white. On this scrap bit, I can see gorgeous grunge and timeless textures, and I added some little hearts from Banner Blast in gold.
Hope was cut from gold glitter card, and the open heart from one of my tomato paste tubes. I did straighten the E in hope, by the way - I think I skewed it when I decided to add that extra heart as the stamped ones were so itty bitty.
Even the butterfly is a leftover from Dina's Pop of Red MIX challenge - I had used a red book page - a leftover already at that stagefrom the previous week's MIX challenge ;-), (coloured with Brusho acrylic mist in scarlet) so I stamped the butterfly on that, added a little gel pen detailing and gave it a coating with a clear glitter pen.
In real life he green is slightly darker, but I've taken several photos on different days and just can't get it to look quite right. The background looks true to life colours, so I'll settle for that.

Great nail-polish marbled bg with its lovely lattice white nail art! Quite clever, Sabrina! I love your tissue paper bg for your heart/butterfly art work...it's colors are stunning! But your heart and butterfly are the pièce de résistance for me! A STUNNING work of art!
