I made this card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. They are presently collecting fall, winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and winter holiday cards for children who are inpatient at various children's hospitals.
After sizing the image in Photoshop, I printed it onto a scrap of bristol paper. I colored it with my colored pencils, using Gamsol on paper blending stumps to blend & soften the colors. (I colored the kitty to look like one of ours.)
I felt the image needed something to ground it, so I die cut a small piece of green cardstock with a "Grassy Fields" die. I inked the edges with Peeled Paint, and glued it in place on my focal panel. I cut 2 panels of pumpkin paper, and adhered those & my image to a 4x5.25" piece of light blue cardstock. Finally, I matted that panel with green cardstock, & adhered the whole thing to a white card base.
