This was a cool technique...a bit of a twist on the shaving cream and dye ink backgrounds. For this one you let it sit 5-6 hours so that it oxidizes and the result has a bubble like texture to it. It was fun but you have to be patient. I added a wooden butterfly that was colored with distress stains....some nuvo drops and that's it..sort of CAS for mixed media.

Wasn't this fun! and it smells good too!! Love the colors you used on your background - pretty die cut panels and the yellow butterfly is perfect on top!

The textured borders really add to your beautiful background, Polly, finishing the edges beautifully but not distracting from the clean look. This has a lovely late summer look - and is a treat for the eyes on a grey morning here.

Oh my goodness, Polly! This is so gorgeous! I love the bubbly texture you got. The butterflies are a perfect focal image for the BG. Can't wait to see some of the other BGs pop up in your gallery when you use the other color combinations!
