This is for Nancy's DTGD challenge, and also this week's CAS challenge.
My layout was inspired by the layout in Betsy Veldman's layout in her card here for the Count down challenge at PTI. I like that it's framed, and the cluster of elements at the bottom, a smaller one at the top and sentiment in the middle. Those are the elements I used in my card though the stamps and tone are very different.
Die cut a white frame and then a curry one whose opening would create a thin mat that would show around the inside panel. Sponged through a stencil softly on the inside panel. Then stamped the bird (2 steps) first on the inside panel then separately on another piece of white cs. Fussy cut the second one. Stamped the branches, leaves, flowers (also 2 step) on the panel, followed by the sentiment. Assembled with the matted frame and the fussy cut bird popped up.

Wow, Maura, this is just totally fabulous. Love the second layer of framing - it really brings out the yellow in that adorable bird. Great stamping and casing and designing. Absolutely gorgeous card. Thanks for playing and I hope you got my message on the keywords I messed up on. Hugz
