I made this for Lydia's DTGD challenge. This fun week is our thanks to all the Fan Club members who support SCS through their subscriptions.

It was also counts for Anna's How Does Your Garden Grow MIXed media challenge - I think oils, acrylic and watercolour certainly counts as mixed .
I die-cut the cacti from watercolour paper, coloured with Inktense pencils and assembled. Made my background. Wanted to add a skunk, and could have sworn I had a small one but they all turned out to be either too big or not skunks at all. This little hedgehog thingy will have to do - I think he looks a bit like tumbleweed so he fits well. With the birdhouse, I wanted to add a bird. No roadrunners, and nothing small enough to nest in the box. But I think this Shore Bird from IO cut from the edge of a gel plate print looks pretty at home here.
Embossed the background, added the little sentiment label , edged the image panel in black and stuck it on.
I don't know why I gravitate towards using "Lydia" colours for her challenges. Subliminal something or other. They're so not my colours, and then I struggle to make a card with them. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Sabrina, I love, love, love this card. It is easy to tell that you cut the images using watercolor paper as it always allows the colors to be softer and more subtle. This is so fun and creative.
